Philosophy | Leesha Mony Therapy

I believe that building a trusting, open and authentic connection with one another is a key component to change and growth.  I strive to do this by helping you find beauty and strength in vulnerability, deepen awareness, and learn ways to hold self-compassion & acceptance.

From my perspective, therapy works when we can co-create a space that allows you to feel comfortable enough to look within yourself to find your inner truth and longings.  Therapy is a personal and individual process. As your therapist, I believe in meeting you where you are at and giving you a space to explore what it is that you really want in life, along with the barriers that you may have experienced along the way.

Rooted in an integrated and a relational style, I pull from many modalities that help my clients feel comfortable, heard and a part of the process.  I combine process-oriented therapy with tool-based skills to help promote understanding and growth. In addition, I also use somatic techniques as a way to bring a more integrated approach to our work together.

Collaboration is of high value to me.  My hope is that we are able to come up with highly individualized support by utilizing the following therapeutic modalities interchangeably, depending on what’s the best fit for you:

Relational/Attachment Based Therapy • Somatic Psychotherapy

Mindfulness-Based psychotherapy • Psychodynamic • Family Systems • Trauma-informed

Social Justice • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy • Strength Based Approaches
